Going Crazy for Food !  



There is something enticing about Food for Thought that makes you stop in your tracks and take a second look at it. Perhaps it's the panals of glass decorated with handwritten words in all sizes, or it could just be the adorable wooden zebra that sits by the door, greeting one and all.

Whatever the reasons may be, it worked and the Loop Troop team found ourselves being led by the nose into this lovely corner shop along North Bridge Road. Upon entering the shop, we were immediately welcomed by the strong whiff of cooked pasta and roasted chicken. Catching us by surprise (mid-whiff, mind you), the friendly staff behind the counter greeted us like we had just returned home. Indeed, it felt very much like we were home.

Unfortunately, time did not allow us to sit down for a meal, but we promised we would be back for dinner. To our horror, we came back after a hard day's work, hungry to the extent of cannibalism,  to find that the kitchen had closed!

Undeterred, we went back within the next 3 days and boy, did we not regret doing so.

Kick off your heels!  


 From a small handful of female soccer clubs in Singapore in 2001, this number has escalated over the years. Today, teams can now participate in Youth League Tournaments that did not even exist then. Primary schools have also begun organizing 5-A-Side mini-tournaments for their girls. It is evident that soccer is fast becoming a popular sport amongst females of all ages.

The Loop Troop is doing a special feature on women soccer because of 2 reasons:
One of them Loop Troopers has always been an ardent fan of this sport, and the other has recently been successfully converted into a soccer junkie.

So, read on and we'll dissolve the stigma of soccer being a sport only for boys!

cash (is not easy to earn) convertors  
Stepping into cash convertors, it feels as if we have been pushed into a storeroom filled with old toys, bicycles from when we were a child, CD collections, musical instruments, etc. We half expected to find our lost sock from last year's laundry there.
